  • Introduction
  • 1. Suit for most of sheet and strip of material, such as HR, CR, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, PVC etc.
  • 2. Apply to high speed feeding, long stroke length feeding, significantly improves productivity and feeding accuracy (within±0.03mm).

    3. User-friendly operation panel makes it easier to input amount of feeding length directly. The range of feeding length is from 0.1mm to 9999.99mm.

    4. Input 20 sets of different feeding length. Each group provides stamping for 999 times to satisfy the processing and production of special products (option).

    5. Manual mode: It is available to input 3 phases manual speed so that users operate easily and freely.

    6. Job storage provides maximum flexibility and reduced set-up time.

    7. All high-hardness and anti-friction rolls are made from heat-treated alloy steel with hard chrome plating and precision ground. The hardness is up to HRC60.

    8. Feeding rolls are power driven through a precision gear train.

    9. Servo feeder is generally divided into two categories: pneumatic servo feeder and mechanical servo feeder. The feeding principle of these two feeders is exactly the same; the difference is how to achieve the release action. Knowledge

There are a few kinds of coil feeder for middle and low speed mechanical punch machines and pneumatic punching machines. Such as NC servo roll feeder, mechanical roll feeder, air feeder or pneumatic feeder, 3 in 1 uncoiler straightener feeder etc. Air feeder have long history and its structures are simple, price is low, so it has been widely used in sample stamping parts producing area. But it exists many weak points such as can’t ensure precision feeding accuracy, easy failure and need frequent maintenances, consume much air source etc. (Refer to Fig 1)

Mechanical roll feeder is advanced than air feeder, it can ensure precision feeding accuracy, machine is reliable etc. But it also has some weak points such as feeding length is limited, a little complex of installation and operation etc. (Refer to Fig 2)

NC servo roll feeders are very popular all over the world now and widely used in metal stamping parts producing area. NC servo roll feeder was comprised of main machine and control box equipping with servo motor, servo driver system, PLC, HMI etc. (Refer to Fig 3)

3 in 1 uncoiler straightener feeder is usually for above 400mm width coil feeding, high tensile material and thicker material etc. This machine’s feeding part is also driven by servo motor. Controlled by PLC, HMI etc. (Refer to Fig 4)

The servo motor equips with encoder device so it can achieve precision feeding accuracy. It just needs to set feeding length in HMI, then it can automatically feed strips forwards as set feeding length, don’t need to adjust mechanical parts of different feeding lengths based on different products. Moreover, it’s not limited of the feeding length, it can set feeding length between 1mm to 9999mm (refer to fig 5), It’s limited of the feeding length for ordinary feeder such as mechanical roll feeder, air feeder etc.

For the servo feeder, it has multi-sections feeding functions, it can set up to 10 sections different feeding lengths. For example, first section feeding length is 100mm, second section feeding length is 50mm, the third feeding section is 150mm, the fourth section feeding length 200mm…….The 10th section feeding length is 500mm. It doesn’t have this function for ordinary mechanical roll feeder or air feeder etc. For servo feeder’s feeding and releasing function. There are two types, one is mechanical release type servo feeder, the other is pneumatic release type servo feeder. They are all driven by servo motor, controlled by PLC and HMI, the different are upper feeding roller’s release method.

 

Mechanical release means upper feeding roller releasing by mechanical device which was comprised of release pilot, release bracket with bearing, release lever, material thickness adjustment device etc. (refer to fig 6) The release pilot was installed on the press’s slide, the release pilot rod press release bracket’s bearing when press’s slide come down, then upper feeding roller was released so strip in the gap can be released between upper and lower feeding rollers, then it can modify the feeding error as soon as mold’s centering pins insert material’s pilot holes so as to ensure precision feeding accuracy. Then upper feeding roller press material once again after release pilot left release bracket’s bearings, so as to feeder can feed strips forwards, then come to next release and feeding cycle.

Pneumatic release means upper feeding roller was release by pneumatic cylinder via solenoid valve (Fig 7), there are two signal cable connecting feeder to press’s electric board’s cams. One is feeding signal cable, the other is release signal cable. Usually, feeding angle range is 270°-90°, release angle range is 180°-165° (refer to Fig 8), when punch machine’s slide come to 165° (the cam angle of centering pins start inserting pilot holes), punching machine give signal to servo feeder to release upper feeding roller via solenoid valve and pneumatic release cylinder so as to material can be release so as to feeding error can be modified, release will end at cam angle of 180° (slide come to bottom dead position), then feeder will feed at cam angle range of 270° to 90° when press send feed signal to feeder.

It has function of producing set and counting which is advanced than ordinary mechanical roll feeder, air feeder etc. It can set producing quantity and indicate actual producing quantity at present. (refer to Fig 9)
